FF-13 FLIGHT part twoWhen Lightning regained consciousness she was lying in a warm tent with a familiar scent closer to her then it had ever been before. It was comforting and addicting, she tightened her grip on the thing that she had held as she slept. It gave her the most comfort that she had had in a long time. A small chuckle came from the thing she held close, Lightning looked up and there was Fang smirking at her. Her eyes widened and she pulled away from Fang's body slightly.
"What the hell!?"
Fang looked surprised at Lightning's reaction.
"Why'd you pull away? You seemed comfortable sleeping."
Lightning's face had a faint blush.
Fang smirked at her and tilted her head,
"Did you know that you're a big cuddlier when you sleep?
Lightning looked down and saw that her body was intertwined and holding tightly to Fang's. She frowned playfully and teased Lightning.
"Awh, we're done cuddling now? You were keeping me so warm too."

It seemed like they had been walking for hours without stopping, everyone was following the soldier's lead. Many of them were scared she was pushing herself too much and didn't want her to collapse alone, so they followed her diligently. Lightning wasn't planning on stopping till they she saved Serah, nothing else was going to get in her way or slow her down any longer. As it grew dark the rest of the party decided to make camp, Lightning gave in at the requests from both Hope and Vanille. She set her tent farther from everyone else's; she didn't want to be close to anyone right now. Snow eventually walked over to her and tried to reason with the solider.
"Sis, move your tent closer, it's safer and warmer."
Lightning growled at him, "Don't call me Sis, I'm not your sister."
He only became more determined.
"We'll find Serah, I promised her I'd always protect her, I'll save her and complete the focus!
a dangerous hallucinationThe light coming through the window was bright,

Even though my eyes were closed
I could see it-
The skin of my arms prickled,
sweat dripped from my brow.
It was two in the afternoon but…
the sun was setting
through the window facing east.
I should have seen the hutch,
shelves lined with bone china
decorated with delicate leaves and vines.
I was so thirsty
and reaching for cups that should have been there.
Instead I found a billboard of butterflies,
the colors raging
more than any rainbow
I'd ever seen.
Their wings fluttered and flashed
yet somehow they moved in slow motion.
I wanted to stand,
wanted to reach out and touch them but…
I couldn't move,
and yet I laughed
ignoring my dry mouth
and the tingling in my feet.
There was a tempest
on the rise
and in my blood.
A sugar rush disguised
as a riot of butterflies
and they were swarming me.
There was a small vial
of insulin in my pocket
that I nev
